New Junior Aquathlon, Duathlon & Triathlon Events

Entries are now open for the Junior Aquathlon (in conjunction with the adult event) event on 1^st April at Killingworth. Details and distances are on the Entry Live website HERE. Details of the adult event are HERE

Another brand new junior event will be taking place at Hetton Lyons park this spring. The Hetton Lyons Childrens and Junior Duathlon organised by Ryton Tri is taking place on 22^nd April. Details, distances and entries are HERE

There’s also another new junior race option. Redvenom.co.uk are organising a double super sprint race at Hetton Lyons park incorporating junior events too, more details HERE

Technical Officials Course – from Michelle Scott

Dear All,

There are still a few places available on the Local Technical Officials Course (old level 1 referees course) which is being held on Sunday 5^th February at Northumbria University.

There have been a few questions asked, so just to confirm:-

·         The LTO – Local Technical Officials Course is a replacement for the old Level 1 Referees Workshop / Home study.

·         You can no longer apply for a home study pack to complete this qualification.

·         Before you can officiate, and receive your certificate, you will be required to complete 4 shadows at 4 events and at least 2 of these must be at pool based events.

·         The course is FREE this year.

·         You must be a Home Nations member to attend the course.
