How do I know if an event is suitable for Disabled Triathletes? Events that are suitable for disabled triathletes are advised to state that they are fully inclusive on their event information or display the fully inclusive logo shown here. We suggest you contact the event organiser to make sure that their event is suitable. The number of fully inclusive events is growing quickly in the UK. |

Go-Ride is British Cycling’s Club Development Programme aimed at improving both young riders and clubs. It focuses on volunteers and young members – improving coaching standards and increasing the number of young riders with access to coaching activities. Go-Ride supports the creation of school-club links, which helps provide clubs with a constant influx of new young members and helps everyone work towards our shared vision of more young people, more active, more often in cycling. The success of Go-Ride is dependent upon partnerships between British Cycling, clubs, schools, local authorities and voluntary organisations. |

We are a company run by active and enthusiastic triathletes, runners and cyclists, who regularly race locally, nationally and internationally. Our aim is to promote races that we would like to compete in. That means they have to be well organised on good courses at good locations. We also consider it of paramount importance that as well as providing the opportunity for fierce and fair competition for those that want it, that our events are fun to take part in and that we remain friendly and approachable |

The Great North Swim, the biggest open water mass participation swimming event in Britain will take place on 12th and 13th September and will be staged on the shores of Lake Windermere at Low Wood. The event, over a distance of one mile, is first of its kind in the UK. Taking its inspiration from the Bupa Great North Run, the Great North Swim uses the formula of a mass participation event providing a challenge for which the participant can train and prepare. Because of the demand last year, organisers Nova International have created a two day event for 2009, a decision which has been welcomed by swimmers and location partners. It provides an opportunity to encourage swimmers from all over the U.K. to the region. |
