We currently offer the following sessions.

Mondays

Open water swimming will begin in Spring 2010 Tyne Green, Hexham. These sessions run until the end of September and alternate with kids’ cycle every other Monday. The weekly update will contain confirmation of session times.

6.30pm for novices

7.00pm for intermediate/experienced open water swimmers.

There is a small charge of £2.00 per member for the session.

Important. Please remember wet suits, swim caps are compulsory.

Junior members

Junior members go at the discretion of the senior coaches.

Some members arrive early and build in a small run session around the tarn before the swim. Likewise others either run or bike after the swim. These are not coached sessions but micro sessions organised by the members.

Please leave the changing rooms and surrounding area clean and free from litter.

Mondays

Kids Cycle

Kids cycling at Hexham middle School (coached) will begin in April at 6.00pm until the end of September. These sessions will alternate with open water swimming every other Monday.

Please remember cycle helmets are compulsory. Hexham middle school has kindly agreed to us using their facilities.

Senior cycling There will be an opportunity for adult cycling (not coached) to leave from Hexham Middle School at 6.00pm. Groups to be decided.

Tuesday

No scheduled coached sessions however there is an option to join Harriers running club. Juniors 6.00pm Seniors 7.00pm

Wednesday

Junior swim 6.00-7.00pm and 7.00-8.00pm fee £3.00 all groups

Group 2 intermediate and advanced

Senior run 7.00pm to 8.00pm Wentworth track. fee £1.00

Senior swim (3 lanes) 8.00 to 9.00pm Wentworth pool, by prior arrangement as there are limited spaces in this session.

Thursday

Senior cycle for all abilities, lasts for 1.5-2hrs.

Meet at Wentworth leisure centre 6.00pm

Friday

Senior swim all groups 7.30pm to 8.30pm fee £3.50

Junior run 7.30pm to 8.15pm Wentworth track. All welcome fee £1.00

Saturday

Senior swim 8.00am to 9.00am (not coached but session planned) fee £3.00

Sunday

Senior cycle every Sunday 9.00am meet at Wentworth Leisure centre (not coached)

NEW FOR 2010 – Junior and Senior cycling at Albermarle airfield. 1.00-4.00pm alternate Sundays throughout the year

Junior swim 6.00pm to 7.30pm fee £3.00 all groups

Group 1 beginners/ novice 6.00pm to 6.45 pm

Group 2 intermediate/ advanced 6.45pm to 7.30pm
